We get it. You’re here for the art, but also for the show-stopping fall colors! So, without further adieu, let’s dive into how to make sure your trip is full of color.
Research your routes. Check out Visit Cook County’s list of Fall Color Drives to help plan your route.
Keep an eye on the color map! Did you know MPR publishes a Fall Color Finder each year? Check it out to learn when peak will hit the northland.
Explore multiple areas. One of the unique features of Cook County is the microclimates and diverse forests. While one area might be past peak colors, another might just be starting to change. A good excuse to drive to multiple areas of the tour!
