About Art Along the Lake

Art Along the Lake is a ten-day art tour along the north shore of Lake Superior during peak fall colors. From Tofte to Grand Portage to the Gunflint Trail, this event offers the unique opportunity to meet local artists in their home studios and gain insights into their creative processes. Whether you're revisiting a favorite gallery or meeting an artist for the first time, there's always something new to discover and beautiful scenery to enjoy along the way! Many locations showcase guest artists' work, and all venues are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

About Cook County Creatives

Cook County Creatives (CCC) is a non-profit located in Grand Marais, MN. CCC was established in 2024 as the new organizer of the annual fall studio tour Art Along the Lake (previously organized by Visit Cook County). The primary goal of CCC is to secure funding in order to grow the Art Along the Lake art tour, as well as manage the event planning and organization. CCC hopes to continue to grow as a local resource to support artists within our community through grant funding and additional business/community support. The 2025 CCC Board consists of eight volunteers including representatives from studio artist host sites, a local gallery, a guest artist, and a community member.
