CALL FOR ARTISTS 2025
Art Along the Lake is a Cook County studio tour that showcases the studios, homes, and inspiration behind the work of local artists. All Studio and Gallery sites are open from 10am-5pm everyday of the 10-day tour. This year’s dates are September 26 - October 5, 2025.
You can apply as one of the following:
Studio Host: Applicant must have an established art practice and studio based in Cook County.
Studio Host Location Requirements:
Property: Property must be safe and accessible to the public.
Studio: Studio structure must be located on the property
Time: Studio Host is expected to be present for the duration of the tour during open hours.
Signage: At a minimum, official event signs must be placed near the entrance to the studio during the event.
Insurance: Liability insurance for the duration of the event
Fee: $200 paid by the deadline
2. Guest Artists: A local or visiting artist who is accepted into the tour and exhibits a collection of original artwork at a partnering Studio site for the full duration of the 10-day event.
Studio Host Location Requirements:
Property: Guest Artists must work with the Studio Host to secure a location to display their work
Time: Encouraged to be present for the majority of the tour
Fee: $200 paid by the deadline
3. Gallery: An established Cook County art gallery that features original art by local and regional artists
Gallery Location Requirements:
Property: Property must be safe and accessible to the public.
Time: Galleries must be open to the public for the duration of the tour during open hours.
Signage: At a minimum, official event signs must be placed near the entrance to the gallery during the event.
Marketing: Encouraged to distribute event brochures ahead of and during the event
Insurance: Liability insurance for the duration of the event
Fee: $350
