Gunflint Trail Studios

Let’s head up the iconic Gunflint Trail for this portion of our fall studio tour. Often referred to as the “gateway to the Boundary Waters” this 57-mile paved national scenic byway leads to endless adventures, unique properties, and delicious restaurants!

The first two stops are located in the Maple Hill region of the trail, while the third stop is located mid-trail. You will lose cell reception as you head to mid-trail, so we recommend having directions pre-loaded on your device. Make sure you have a hard-copy of the map in hand by signing up for a complimentary Event Guide mailed directly to your mailbox.

As you head up the trail consider stopping at Pincushion Overlook or Devil Track Wildflower Sanctuary. Mid-trail you will find multiple restaurants, including Loons Nest Coffee, Trail Center, and Poplar Haus.
